Largecap PSU & midcap stocks to buy for short term for up to 12% return; note down targets

Actions to buy in the short term: The stock market saw a volatile week, with reference indices that were suddenly balanced in response to global signals and internal policy developments.

After an unstable start, both Nifty and Bank Nikty recovered, riding on the back of the ease of global commercial tensions and the monetary support policy.

On Thursday, April 17, 2025, the 50 -story basket managed to recover most of its losses, closing more to 23,851,65, an increase of 1.77 percent. While the Sesex index ended almost 2 percent more, or more than 1500 points to 78,553.

The rally has been led by actions in the actions of the banking, automotive and real estate sector.

The broker has recommended buying two shares of Largecap and Midcap with a 3 months horizon. Here is the list of these two actions:

PSU actions to buy: PNB | Input price: RS 97–99 | Upward potential: 11%

Analysts have recommended buying PSU Punjab National Bank shares (PNB) for a three -month RS 111 spot with a RS 92 stop, citing the action has generated a Fove Fove Fove Emay supply line. The given objective implies a return or 11.69 percent from the closing of Thursday.

“The daily RSI has also caused a bullish crossing, the more upward suggestion ₹ 111, which corresponds to the 50% of its previous lower trend,” according to Bajaj’s.

MIDCAP Actions to buy: Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy | RANGE: RS 276–283 | Expected return: 12%

Another broker selection is from the Midcap category. It recommends buying renewable energy shares of Sterling and Wilson for the same period for a goal of RS 326 with a loss stop at RS 249. According to the brokerage, MIDCAP shares could increase to 12.22 percent in the next 3 months.

“Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy have formed a breakdown breakdown in the daily table, backed by a strong impulse of RSI and the support of their EMA of 20 days near RS 255”, according to the broker.

“The stock is expected to rise to RS 326, the projected objective based on the implication of double fund,” analysts said.
