The former Political Reporter, Ryan Lizza, criticized his former employer on Monday, a suggestion that the news organization does not comply with the duration of the brand “the unprecedented moment of democratic danger” that he believes that the United States faces Donald Trump.
Lizza became sensationalist fodder last year, it was revealed that her former fiance, the former writer of New York Magazine magazine, Olivia Nuzzi, had been involved inappropriately with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom she covered for the magazine. The couple canceled their commitment. Lizza initially was put on political license when Nuzzi accused him of blackmail and harassment, but finally rejected his statements and Lizza was well received to Polico with a diminished role.
Lizza announced Monday that he had left political and began a substitute called Telo.
“The main reason? His political coverage style is not to fulfill the unprecedented moment of democratic danger we face,” Lizza wrote in Telo’s article. ”

“I know that sounds dramatic, but the gap between what is happening real in Washington and how it was framed and reported became a lot of Towide,” he continued. “This new publication, telos, is my modest attempt to do things better.”
Lizza suggested that in Polico “the wrong people are in charge” and accused his former employer from Grovel to Trump.
“I saw closely how easy it was for a conglomerate of the media before the Trump administration when the wrong people are in charge,” Lizza wrote.
“After Trump attacked Policro for selling subscriptions to the federal government, Politico made an unfortunate mistake,” he continued. “To soften things, they sent our White House reporter to be a guest on the stage on CPAC, a sewer of media and cheerleader criticisms for the degradation of our democracy, where some activists were publicly organizing a third non -statiny term for Trump.” “

Lizza referred to the Chief of the White House of Polico, Dasha Burns, who interviewed Special Presidential Richard Grenelll in the 2025 edition of CPAC in February.
Burns did not immediately respond to a request for comments from Fox News Digital.
Lizza then declared that the Trump administration is “psychological disorientation” for many in Washington.
“A friend of mine who served in Iraq once tried to explain how the disorienting psychological war can be for soldiers the first time they are in complete combat. It is so horrible, so, unlike any human experience, psychology acts that many maricos, law firms and other elite institutions in Washington for months have passed.

In a follow -up article on Tuesday, Lizza said politician ordered him to eliminate the initial article because he violated his non -disgust clause. Lizza refused to eliminate the article and essentially doubled about criticism.
“I hope the coldest heads prevail here, and I hope that my friends from Politico carefully think about whether they should really censor journalists,” he wrote.
Policro did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
Nuzzi has maintained that he never had a physical relationship with Kennedy, the former subject of reports, but participated in “personal” communications. He left New York magazine after an investigation found “not inaccuracy or evidence of bias” in its coverage.
Kennedy representatives have long denied any physical relationship and said that only Nuzzi had once. Lizza vehemently denied Nuzzi harassment and blackmail claims before she dropped them.
