Steelers First-round Draft Pick Derrick Harmon’s mother, Tiffany Saine, died on Thursday evening shortly after Pittsburgh selected the defensive Lineman from Oregon with the 21st General Pick.
Harmon said after he was drafted that he was planning to visit his mother, who, according to him, was in a hospital in a hospital in the suburbs of Detroit. Saine had hardly any serious brain operations and a stroke in recent years. Harmon, 21, pointed to his mother as an inspiration for hymn to continue while he went from Michigan State to Oregon.
Steelers President Art Rooney II expanded the team’s condolences to their newest star.
