NFL Draft: ESPN star outlines Shedeur Sanders’ inexplicable fall

The first Round of the NFL 2025 draft brought its fair part of surprises, but the Plumet of Sheduer Sanders was possibly the most significant event of the night.

On Friday, Sanders saga was surprisingly transformed to effectively inexplicable.

Each team, including the franchises that entered this year’s draft with interrogation signs in the Quarterback position, approved selecting former Colorado Field Marshal in the first, second or third round. From Thorsday, many figures in the world of sport and beyond have shared thoughts about why Sanders fell on the Draft boards.

Pete Thamel de ESPN is among that group. According to Thamel’s conversations with several teams, Sanders’ free fall could be attributed greatly to the evaluation of his talent.

Thamel added that some teams questioned the general athletics of Sanders.

“They wanted to see him more throwing rhythm. They wanted to see him show a little more athletics. He is considered a mediocre athlete who did not have enough film that thought he immediately transformed.”

While the second round of Friday came and left without the name of Sanders getting out of the board, the NFL teams that avoid the field marshal position in the first part of the two two have been a trend in recent years.

Only a quartback has bone selected in the second round of the NFL draft since 2023, Thamel added.

Sanders remained Av, she was fourth round concluded on Saturday afternoon.

Sanders finished the 2024 season with 4,134 adjustment yards. He is the son of the member of the Hall of Fame Pro Football and the coach in Football of Colorado, Dion Sanders.
