India’s March air passenger traffic rises by over 8 per cent y-o-y

The growing demand for air trips along with the expansion of the aviation network in the country accelerated the National Passenger Traffic in India by 8.79 percent in March 2025 in an year -on -year base.

According to the data published by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the programmed national flight operators of India transported more than 1.45 passengers last month, compared to 1.33 million rupees in March 2024.

In a sequential base, passenger traffic had grown by 11.04 percent in February 2025 to around 1.40 million rupees.
