Lawrence Taylor sacks Abdul Carter’s request to wear his retired No. 56 with Giants

Abdul Carter gave it a chance and thought he had nothing to lose.

Of course, Lawrence Taylor’s no. 56 was retired by the New York Giants and is one of the most respected sweater numbers in the franchis history. But Carter, the third General Pick in the 2025 NFL design on Thursday evening, Afaffgaft Taylor and was to see if he would be cool if he would go after Quarterbacks all those years later while he was wearing that family number.

Well, I quickly fired those dreams.

Taylor heard about Carter’s request and, although honored, the former Penn State Pass Rusher should do a song about opposing attacks in a different top than no. 56.

“You have to be the player he is,” Taylor told ESPN. “He can’t be Lawrence Taylor anymore. Well, he might be better than a Lawrence Taylor.

Carter wore no. 11 in Penn State – but that number is also withdrawn by the Giants in honor of Quartback Phil Simms.

Carter placed a social media during his presenters in the NFL history.

“The worst thing he could say was no !!” Carter placed late on X. “My attitude does not change on Friday evening, it is the (goat -emoji). Nothing but respect … This will just let me work even harder !! I love it.”

Carter led the country with 23.5 tackles for loss and last season had 12 bags for Penn State. I have Giants defense that you already have Solid Pass Rushers in Kayvon Thibodeaux and Brian Burns and a strong D-line that includes Pro Bowler Dexter Lawrence.

“I add to that group, it will be dope,” Carter said after he was set up. “It will be the most dominant group.”

Taylor can appreciate that, and he roots for Carter – only in a number other than 56.

“I know he would like to wear that number, but hey, I think it withdrew,” Taylor posted the New York Post. “Get a different number, I don’t care if double is zero and it makes it famous.”

There is a Submain predictor for Giants players to withdraw withdrawal numbers. Wide recipient Malik Nubers, the first Rounder in New York last year, Cook to wear no. 1 was worn in the 1930s by the Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Flaherty. The Family Van Flaherty gave Nubers the authorization to wear his number.

Cam Ward, the first general choice of Tennessee on Thursday evening, prescribed to surprise the next day when the Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Moon appeared for his introductory press conference and authorized him to wear his retired number 1.
