NTSB, FAA investigating Tennessee plane crash, 3 dead

Three people traveling on a small plane died on Saturday after crashing a mile south of a rural airport in Sparta, Tennessee.

Airport officials and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told Fox News Digital the single -engine moeney plane crashed around noon, since it was in an approach to the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport.

The officials of the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport confirmed that three people are dead after the accident on Saturday. (Google Maps)

The famous acrobatics pilot was in contact with the control tower before the fatal accident at the base of the Lane Air Force

The three people on board died in the accident, confirmed airport officials. His identities have not yet released the leg.

FAA is currently on the scene and the National Transportation Security Board (NTSB) is on their way.

In a statement, FAA said it will investigate. The NTSB is taking the lead.

The accident occurs only a few days after a famous trick pilot while trying to land at the base of the Langey Air Force in Virginia.

Rob Holland, the pilot, was the only person on board and died after crashing against the earth near the filming street just after 11:30 am on Thursday, according to the NTSB air security researcher, Dan Boggs.

Holland was trying a routine landing when the tragedy occurred, and was not performing acrobatics, Boggs said.

The authorities confirmed that Holland was before the accident in contact with air traffic controllers.

The airfield It was closed at that time and military operations were not affected.
