Major blaze breaks out at ED office building in Mumbai; firefighting ops continue for over 6 hours

A large fire exploded in the office building of the configuration management in southern Mumbai in the early hours of Sunday, and fire fighting operations have continued for more than six hours, authorities said.

There were no reports of victims in the fire that exploded in the Kaiser-I-Hind building in the Ballard Estate area, they said.

The authorities said the fire, which began on the fourth floor of the five -story building that houses the office of around 2.31 am, has remained furious despite the efforts.

Firefighters are struggling to control the fire, said an official of the Fire Brigade.

Mumbai Fire Bridge improved the fire at level III around 4.17 am, which is usually consulted an important fire.

At least eight firefighters, six docks, water tankers and other equipment in the place have been deployed.

The official said that several documents and equipment are feared within the office have been damaged.

He said that the exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
