India seeks new trade opportunities with Croatia, Netherlands to diversify trade partnerships

In an effort to diversify their commercial associations and explore new markets, India has actively involved with Croatia and the Netherlands. Secretary of Commerce Sunil Barthwal with Zdenko Lucic, Secretary of State for Commerce and Foreign Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Zagreb, on April 22, 2025, strengthening bilateral trade ties

For fiscal year 2024-25 (April-November), the Netherlands is the ninth commercial partner of merchandise in India, with a total trade of USD 19.62 billion (INR 164,407 million rupees) and a commercial surplus of USD 12,971 billion (108,545 million rupees).

The Netherlands is the largest merchandise export destination in India in Europe and the third largest in the world (after the United States and EAU). In fiscal year 2023-2024, India export USD 22,367 billion (RS 185,260 million rupees) of goods to the Netherlands.
