Border security is a central pillar of the priorities of the Republicans of Congress in the budget reconciliation process. The National Security Committee, which has jurisdiction on significant amounts of border operations between the United States and Mexico, was carried out to use up to $ 90 billion in new expenses to achieve those objectives.

Trump administration officials, including the name of the Secretary of National Security Kristi and Tom Tom Homan, have emphasized the need for more funds to carry out the president’s agenda.

The DHS sent a memorandum to the Republicans of the Chamber and the Senate earlier this month warning that the breach of the legislation “will undo all the mass successes of the Trump administration.”
