Rubio says US may withdraw from Russia-Ukraine talks if no progress made

The Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, seemed to moderate the expectations of an important peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia on Sunday.

Rubio made the duration of the statement in an appearance on Sunday morning in “Meet The Press” of NBC, with the host Kirsten Welker account that an agreement “is not yet there.”

“We have progressed real, but the last two steps of this trip would always be the most difficult,” Rubio said. “It must happen soon. We cannot continue, as I said, to devote time and resources to this issue if you are not going to reach Fruity.”

“The last week has been about how close these sides are really, and they are close enough for this to deserve a continuous investment of our time as a mediator in this regard,” he added.

Rubio argued that it was “fool” to put a specific date or line of time on when the United States could withdraw from mediation, but said that this will be “a very critical week.”
