Trump shares details about his search for a new national security advisor

President Donald Trump said Sunday that he plans to appoint a new national security advisor in about six months, telling the reporters that the former advisor, Mike Waltz, did not resign, but was interacted for an improved position as an ambassador of the administration to the United Nations.

Trump spoke with journalists on Air Force One on Sunday night, where he was asked about several issues, including trade agreements, Mexican posters and the national security advisor post.

A journalist asked the president about Waltz’s departure as national security advisor, which the president said he was selected for what he called a “higher position” or an “update.”

Trump also said that Waltz did not make any mistakes and, as an ambassador to the UN, would do a good job.

“I didn’t lose confidence in him,” Trump said. “He will go to the United Nations for a reason. For me, I think it’s personally, if I had security for me … I prefer to have that job than the other.”

He also reiterated that Waltz did not resign, but instead, Trump moved him.

“There was no resignation,” said the president.

Waltz and other employees of the National Security Council were expelled from his office on Thursday at the Executive Office outputs plus high profile of the second Trump administration. “Stephen Miller at the top of the totem? I mean, I think he classifies or indirectly already has that job … because he has a lot to say about many things,” Trump said. “He is a very valued person in the administration, Stephen Miller.”

Any commercial agreement was also asked this week, responding that there could be some.

But when he was pressed if he could say more about offers, Trump contained himself.

“No one understands,” he said. “We are negotiating with many countries. But at the end of this, I will establish my own offers because I established the treatment. They do not establish the treatment. I established the treatment.”

Trump said he is meeting with almost all countries with respect to trade agreements, including China.

By even more explaining the process, Trump said he will establish the rate and that a country could agree or not.

“They don’t have to deal with us, which is fine, because we resolve under Biden. We are losing $ 5 billion per day,” he said. “Think about it. $ 5 billion per day. Now we are not dealing with China at all due to rates … Therefore, we are saving billions of dollars.”

The sacrifice was finally rejected, what Trump said was because Sheinbaum is afraid of the posters, so much so that “he cannot simply think clearly.”
