Kara Lawson is about to add another bullet point to an impressive summarizing with the use of basketball.
The organization announced on Tuesday that the basketball coach for Duke Women will be the main coach for Team USA at the Fiba Women’s Americanup this summer in Chile. Assisting Lawson at the tournament held on 28 June to 6 July, are the old Dominion coach Delisha Milton-Jones and Jennie Baranczyk from Oklahoma.

Lawson has won three Olympic gold medals with Team USA. She was the head coach of the 3×3 team that won in Tokyo in 2021, an assistant coach at the 5×5 team that won in Paris last summer, and she won the gold about the player in the 2008 team. A product from the University of Tennessee, where she played under the legendary Pat Summitt, Lawson left its fifth season at the helm of the Duke Blue Devils, who marked their best season in more than a decade.
