The Government has received 70 applications for the manufacturing scheme of electronic components of 23,000 million rupees, and most applicants are small and medium enterprises, said Minister of the Ashwini Vaishnaw Union.
These applications have reached half a month of opening the window for the scheme. “The electronic component manufacturing scheme has received a tremendous response. Within 15 days after the opening of the application, around 70 applications have arrived,” Vaishnaw told PTI.
The minister did not deactivate the names of the applicants. However, the sources have mentioned previously that Tata Electronics, Dixon Technologies and Foxconn were among the great players who have shown interest in the scheme.
Vaishnaw said that while some of the great players have requested, there has been great interest in the scheme of small and medium players.
“80 percent of applications come from small and medium enterprises,” said the minister.
The Government opened requests for the electronic component manufacturing scheme (ECM) of ₹ 22.805-CORRE-CRORE-CORRE (ECMS) on May 1.
The scheme aims to address the demand supply deficit in the electronic component segment.
The Association of Electronic Industries of India (ELCINA), the oldest industry agency in the country of the Indian electronic sector, estimates that the demand supply deficit for tickets in the electronic segment will increase to $ 248 billion (around ₹ 21 Lakh Crore) for 2030 to attend to the production of $ 500 electrons of $ 500 of measurements of the measure of $ 500 billion of $ 500.

Category C includes components such as flexible PCB, SMD passive components.
