The images and a video emerge or how the new installation will be seen while young athletes prepare to compete there in June

The plans to renew Crystal Palace have advanced this week with a new image of the redevelopment of the proposed track that will be released along with a video.

The news is produced on the eve of the South England age group championship for young athletes, which is being organized in Crystal Palace from June 7 to 8.

Crystal Palace Vision

The redevelopment will be complete by Morgan Sindall Construction, announced the mayor of London, with the work to begin in the second half of 2025 and complete by 2028.

Mayor Sadiq Khan said: “The National Sports Center of Crystal Palace is a historical and very dear sports and community installation in which many sports stars in the United Kingdom have begun their careers and trained, but what needs a great investment and renewal.

“We hope to work closely with the partners and the local community to create an exceptional sports place.”

Richard Dobson, or Morgan Sindall Construction, added that he delighted in working in the historic sports place. “We hope to continue our close and collaborative relationship with the authority of the Great London in this regeneration,” he said.

Sitting between the main renewed grade II building and the athletics stadium there will be an outdoor track of 200 meters and a covered sprinting installation of 100 meters of the last generation.
