Manchester United is interested in Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo.

It is clear that they notice that Mbeumo wakes to Old Trafford.

There have been no conversations between the clubs, but formal discussions are now. United is confronted with competition, with a number of Premier League clubs that are on the player.

Mbeumo is a player who has had United has admired for a while and he fits well with the Ruben Amorim system.

Mbeumo, 25, has had a standout 2024/25 campaign, scoring 20 Premier League goals—ranking him fourth behind Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak, and Mohamed Salah. His contributions were pivotal to Brentford’s 10th-place finish, with Mbeumo and teammate Yoane Wissa accounting for 39 of the team’s 66 league goals.

Brentford are reportedly demanding at least £60 million for Mbeumo. Although his contract runs until June 2026, the club holds an option to extend it by an additional year, strengthening their negotiating position. Manager Thomas Frank has acknowledged that while Mbeumo is happy at the club, a substantial offer could prompt a sale.

Premier League Rivals in Pursuit

Newcastle United are currently leading the race to sign Mbeumo, with betting odds favoring their acquisition. Manchester United and Arsenal are also in contention, while Chelsea have shown interest, reportedly ready to offer £51 million.

United’s interest in Mbeumo aligns with their need to bolster their attacking options, especially with the potential departures of Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Højlund. The club has already signed Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha for £62.5 million and is considering further reinforcements.
