Indigenous glide bomb ‘Gaurav’ clears DRDO trials, nears IAF induction

A SU-30 MKI plane carried out successfully liberation tests of the ‘gaurav’ cheaper than missiles, but equally effective, developed and produced from April as of April April of April back, precision of pointed points.

Gaurav has been designed and developed indigenously by the IMARAT Research Center, the establishment of Armament Research and Development, and the range of integrated tests, Chandipur.

The system has been carried out with the support of the Defense -adi Defense Development Partners and Technologies for Development Development, Bharat Forge and several MSME.

The ministry said the judgments are racing the path for the induction of the weapon in the IAF.

The Military Aircraft and Certification Center and the General Directorate of Aeronautical Quality Guarantee contributed to certification and quality guarantee.

The senior officials of the DRDO and the Air Force of India (IAF) participated and reviewed the judgments.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, congratulated Drdo, IAF and the industry for the successful development trials of ‘Gaurav’. He said that the development of LRGB would further improve the capacities of the Armed Forces largely.

Samir V Kamat, secretary, R&D of the Department of Defense and president of Drdo, also congratulated the entire Drdo team for carrying out the successful release tests.
