Golf: Rory McIlroy leads the Masters; closes in on career Grand Slam | Golf News

Rory Mcilroy assaulted the top of the masters classification table with a third electrifying round that included two eagles to finish two shots ahead of Bryson Dechambeau and at the door of winning the elusive Grand Slam in the golf.

To get to the promised land of a Grand Slam of his career, Mcilroy will have to get the American who delivered a great American who delivered some late fireworks on Saturday to establish a confrontation of a final round of high profile that will be a rematch of his battle year.

Dchambeauau, who touches the advantage of a late Mcilroy colopse to win last year’s title, won a point in the final couple of Suncys in Autumaa when he drained a monstrous 48 feet Birdie, put fun in the final part 18.

It will be only the fourth time in the last 30 years that the final pairing of a major will have two multiple important champions.

“It will be the greatest stage we have had in a long time, and I am excited about it,” said Decchambeau after a Tres Foundations pair led him to 10 under the week and two shots ago Mcilroy.

The pairing presents Mcilroy the opportunity to take revenge on the Americans, who gave him a heartbreaking loss in the US Open last year, but Mcilroy said he prefers not to think about that.

“The most important thing is not to turn it into a rematch and simply remain in my own small world,” said Mcilroy, who shot a 66 of six foundations on Saturday and is a couple of 12 years for the tournament.

Mcilroy seemed concentrated as he walked to the Club house after playing the pair at 18, knowing that in 24 hours, he could be sliding in a green jacket and finally finishing an 11 -year hunt to win the four main golf championships.

“Tomorrow in that final group is going to be a bit noisy and a bit noisy,” he said.

“I will have to settle and really try to stay in my own little bubble, keep my head down and approach tomorrow with the same attitude I have tried to address the last three days.”

‘What dreams are made or’

Dcchambeau, who threw three of his final four hoses for a third round 69, issued a big smile and his five delusional fans after his final heroic hole when the sun assigned Augusta National.

“That’s what dreams are made right there,” he said.

“Two behind, they couldn’t ask for something else. Super excited for the challenge ahead.”

DcChambeau, who returned to the range to practice iron shots after his round, said he also expects an electric atmosphere on Sunday.

“Food to the crowd, especially to the pathons here, and return that energy,” he said.

“It’s a great sensation and I used it a couple of times today.”

Mcilroy had his round at the scorching start, going Birdie-Eagle-Birdie and Route to become the first player to start a round in the Masters with six three consecutive, jump during the night, Justin Rose, in the middle of the pristine score score score.

After starting the day three rose shots, Mcilroy led up to four in the nine front, but cooled around the turn with Bogeys in eight and 10.

Birding 13 to seize the impulse of return and the Histing approach shot in the civil torque established a six -foot eagle putt that became coldly to recover its advantage of four shooting.

But Decchambeau would not go, drilling birdies in 15 and 16 before his dramatic Putt in 18 to keep alive the twice champions of the Open Open Open of capturing a first Masters title.

While the approach on Sunday will be in the pairing of Mcilroy-Dechambeau, many other marquee names are also in hunting.

The Canadian Corey Conners is four years old and in the third place alone, while the former Masters champion, Patrick Reed, and the finalist of last year, Ludvig Aberg, are two more drifting shots.

The world number one and the defending champion Scottie Scheffler are among the four players that stalk seven shots, addressing what an exciting final should be on Sunday.

“Both because we will really win, very bad, and there are many great players behind us,” said Decchambeau.

“I have to be aware of that and focus. It’s about who can control them and who can execute golf shots the best.”
