The emerging field of health technology, with a myriad of interventions that greatly improve treatment results, currently focuses more on physical well -being.
To fill the void in solutions aimed at psychological problems, a Startup based on Hyderabad, Avika, is developing interventions based on immersive technology such as virtual reality.

“We have a situation created for all possible mental health problems,” she says. The therapist has complete control over the virtual reality session, he adds. “They can falsify, play, stop and adjust the levels of situations.”
This allows therapists to evaluate the patient’s condition, depending on their reactions to several situations and prepare a treatment plan.
Peyyeti, a technician, co -founded the company with her childhood friend Vishal Indla, who is a psychiatrist, and the medical director of the firm, Srinivas Avery (CTO) and Srinivas Pingali (strategic advisor).
For Peyyeti, the idea for the startup aroused a visit to Shantivanam, a rehabilitation center directed by Indla in Vijayawada. “Seeing people of all social strata challenge my erroneous concepts about mental health and reinforce the idea that technology can be used in this field as a facilitator,” he says.
“We revea Aviallable, and Aviallable, and Aviallable, and Aviallable, and Aviallable, and Aviallable, and Aviallable, and Aviale she says.
“We have about 20 clients in different parts of the country, marking 11,000 VR sessions for about 5,000 patients. We ensure the privacy of the data by not collecting personal identification information beyond the mobile number,” says Peyyeti.
The anonymous data of the thesis VR sessions and other interactions help obtain information on the effectiveness of several therapies used for a variety of conditions.
The startup has also developed a product called Aura, aimed at educational companies and institutions, for stress management and anxiety.
Mental Center
Avika recently launched a ‘mental center’ center in Hyderabad for those looking for face -to -face consultations with therapists.
The company plans to open at least four ‘mental centers’ for the end of the year. It is also looking to expand to cities of level II and level III, such as Hubballi and Visakhapatnam.
The startup startup has raised a small round of friends and family funds to develop a viable model. “Now that we have developed a successful model, we would like to obtain an increase in expansion funds,” says Peyyeti.
