Augusta, g. – Where can you even start on the roller coaster that was Rory McIlroy’s last round at the Masters 2025.
On the bottom of Rae’s Creek or the top of the Golfpantheon?
Hell, the first four holes were their own whirlwind. That’s how it was 18th hole. For example, the play -off -was the first play -off at Augusta National since 2017, when Sergio Garcia Justin Rose defeated.
And yes, there was Rose – Doorn in the side of McLroy. He ran a 20-foot for Birdie on the 18th hole to post 11 benefits, making him a 66 cards on Sunday, by far the best round of the day. McIlroy could only collect on 1-over 73, thanks to a bogey on the 72nd hole, leaving it in a tie with rose.
But in the end Sumohow, Sumway, Rory Mcilroy won the 2025 Masters Turnament and became the first of the Emerald Isle to win a green jacket. McIlroy also makes an 11-year-old major championship drought and becomes the sixth player of all time to complete the career Grand Slam.
Again, where do we even start?
Well, maybe it is logical to start at the end of the regulations, when McIlroy had a one -off lead.
After having disconnected his best ride on the Par-4 18th Hole, McIlroy still had 125 meters over to his approach. Given the form of McIlroy, a wig shot should have been from this discernment routine: playing to the center of the green, two-putt for par and the Golf Courso Trumphantly ends.
But just like Greg Norman in 1986, who undo the greatest choke artist in the history of Masters, McIlroy flared his wedge into the bunker and failed to get up and down. He missed par on the 72nd Green, sent him and stood back to the 18th tee.
And then, in the play -off, after the moment of despair, McCilroy made an incredible drive eleven more at 18. And again, McIlroy had 125 yards transferred to the flagstick. In contrast to his blister in regulation, McIlroy, however, hit a tight draw just after the cup and rolled it back to about four feet. What makes that approach in the Playoff even more impressive is that Rose had hit his second shot to about 15 feet, which puts even more pressure on McIlroy.
And yet, Submohow, Metro, Mcilroy was Uble to overcome it. He stuck it closer and sent the pressure to Rose, who missed his Birdie. The stage was the set for the Career Grand Slam, and MCLRoy, the overwhelming favorite among the customers, closed the deal by converting his four-legged Birdie. The roar of his Birdie could be heard everywhere between Belfast and the Butler Cabin, where Scottie Scheffler will drape the green jacket over his shoulders.
What a blowjob was a reality now, and McIlroy’s tears of joy let go of 11 years of fear, pressure and despair.
What a week, which day, what a champion. Rory Mcilroy is finally a Masters champion.
