The victory of the Australian in the second F1 race in the last three rounds catapults it to second place in the classification of the drivers.

Oscar Piastri won his second career of the Formula One season, riding the pole position in a victory in the Bahrein Grand Prix.

With his fourth victory in his career, Piasstri moved to second place in the driver’s classification, three points from his teammate in McLaren, Lando Norris.

“That should be a party tonight. Mega weekend to all. That was quite fun,” Piastri said Sunday after marking his 50th start in a perfect style.

Piastri built his leadership through the race and won by a dominant 15.5 seconds, leaving the whore for the position to those behind him.

Among those who fight for the podium were George Russell de Mercedes, who reded the soft tires for 24 laps at the end of the race and had to fight against the problems with his gearbox and the DRS system had to go out to fight Norris for second.

Norris, who started sixth, won a place on the podium despite being a penalty in five seconds for being out of position in his network box.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton from Ferrari finished fourth and fifth, respectively. For Hamilton, the seven times world champion, was his best final with Ferrari, which he joined this season.

Max Verstappen of Red Bull, the four -time defending champion of the F1, ended sixth after finding problems in his two stops in boxes. Pierre Gasly was the seventh and scored the first points of the season for Alpine.

For Piastri, the Bahrain Grand Prix marked the start of the 50th career of his F1 career. He is the first winner of the 2025 season after taking the victory of the race in the China Grand Prix on March 23.
