
The Sonalika tractors registered a 7 percent increase in their sales of national tractors, reaching 123,764 units in fiscal year 2015.
The tractor industry recovered in fiscal year 2015, registering an 8 percent increase in national sales. This growth driven by a favorable monsoon and other positive factors, comes after an 8 percent decrease in the previous prosecutor.
Exports also rose, investing the drop of 22 percent observed last year, and the total production of the period exceeded the brand of one million.
The sales of national tractors were 939,713 units in fiscal year 2015, compared to 867,237 units in fiscal year 2014, according to the data of the Tractor and Mechanization Association (TMA).

KUBOTAS ESCORTS Annual volumes for FY25 only saw a marginal growth (1.6 percent) to 110,563 units, but recorded a 15 percent increase in March sales.
March saw a strong increase in sales, both year -on -year and from month to month, with national sales for the month that reach 79,946 units, compared to 63,755 units in March 2024 and 58,797 units in February 2025.
Perspective
The representatives and analysts of the industry expect the impulse in the sales of tractors to continue in Q1 Fy26. “The delivery impulse was resumed in the last week of March due to the festivities, and it is expected that continuously in the first quarter of fiscal year 2016 due to a very good harvest of Rabi crops and a better cash flow in the hands of the farmers,” said Sikka.
ICRA projects a moderate growth rate or 4–7 percent for fiscal year 200, based on early indications of a normal monsoon.
Total tractors exports in the 2015 fiscal year were 98.813 units, slightly higher than 97,828 units in the fiscal year24. Mahindra exports grew by 27 percent to 17,547 units, while Sonalika and Escorts each recorded a 11 percent decrease in exports, with 33,606 units and 4,991 units, respectively.
The total production of tractors in fiscal year 2000 stood at 1,007,660 units, compared to 947,143 units in fiscal year 2014. However, it remained below the peak of fiscal year 23 or 1,071,310 units, the highest annual production figure necessary.
