Kyren Lacy: LSU player’s death an apparent suicide, authorities say | American Football News

Police say that the 24 -year open receiver of LSU inflicted a gunshot wound after a chase in Houston.

The former recipient of the State University of Louisiana (LSU), Kyren Lacy, died at the age of 24 in an apparent suicide in his car, while the authorities pursued in Houston, according to a report by the Sheriff of the Harrison County published to the media.

Lacy already faced criminal charges of humor for a fatal car accident in Louisiana last December that had cloudy her perspectives of the National Football League.

Harris County authorities say that his search for Lacy on Saturday night ended when Lacy crashed. When the officers approached the vehicle to extract Lacy, they say he had in a team suicide, according to the report on Sunday.

Lacy was a dead dead on the scene by emergency responders.

“We are sad to know the tragic death of the former LSU soccer student, Kyren Lacy,” LSU said in a statement. “Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and their loved ones, as well as with their former companions and coaches affected by their adjustment.”

Lacy, who led LSU in TouchDowns receiving with nine last season, had declared for the NFL draft this month. But his Draft stock collapsed after his alleged participation in an accident that killed a 78 -year -old man in the parish of Lafourche, Louisiana.

Lacy, who was from Thibodaux, Louisiana, allegedly led to the condition of condition and moving to a non -sale area, when a motorist who was spinning to avoid Dodge Charger of Lcy in another vehicle.

Herman Hall of Thibodaux, who was involved in the front accident, died after being transported to a hospital, said a state police report.

The authorities of the Troop C of the Louisian State Police said Lacy fled the accident scene without asking for help. It was reserved with negligent homicide, serious crime of outrage and reckless operation of a vehicle.

Lacy played in 12 games for LSU last season and was second in the team in captures with 58 and yards receiving with 866.

He declared for the NFL draft a few days after the accident and did not play in LSU’s victory over Baylor at Texas Bowl on December 31.
