Qatar, Egypt leaders renew support for Gaza ceasefire, reconstruction plan | Israel-Palestine conflict News

Egypt and Qatar, the main intermediaries in conversations to end the war against the Gaza Strip, have expressed “serious concern” about the escalation of violence and deaths in the Palestinian territory of the Israelis and bombarded, stressing continuing.

In a joint statement published on Monday, a visit to the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Qatar, Cairo and Doha reiterated their support for the Gaza Reconstruction Plan backed by the Arabs against the calls of Terrion and Israel for the deplory has called ethnic cleaning.

The two countries also announced their intention to organize an international conference in Egypt “in cooperation with regional and international partners, to coordinate humanitarian and development efforts to guarantee improved living conditions for the Palestinian people in the strip.”

Qatar and Egypt emphasized the “centrality of the Palestinian cause of the Arabs”, asking for the establishment of a Palestinian state at the borders of 1967, in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, with this Jerusalem as its capital.

With the total support of the United States, Israel resumed its assault on Gaza last month and imposed a total siege in the territory, cutting all food supplies and doctors to the Palestinians there.

Israel and Hamas had agreed to high the three -phase fire in January, which led to a six -week break in the fighting.

But after the end of the first stage, which saw Hamas release boxes of Israeli captives, Israel refused to negotiate on the second phase of the agreement or commit to a permanent purpose of the war.

Since restarting the offensive, Israel has killed more than 1,600 Palestinians, regularly attacking medical facilities, civil shelters and humanitarian workers.

On Monday, an Israeli attack against the Tuffah neighborhood of the city of Gaza killed at least six civilians, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Separate, Tareq Abu Azzoum from Al Jazeera reported that a flood of air attacks hit the “safe area” designated by Israeli al-Mowasi in southern Gaza, killing at least one person.

In addition to its bombings, Israel has again been strength by displacing the Palestinians in thousands.

On Saturday, the Israeli army announced the establishment of a new “runner” to cut Rafah, the southernmost city of Gaza, of the rest of the territory, which increases the fears that Israel can be looking to annex the area.

Since the beginning of the war in October 2023, the Israeli army has killed at least 50,983 Palestinians in Gaza, according to the health authorities in the territory. Thousands more have disappeared and they are supposed to be dead under the rubble.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health said at least 38 people were killed by Israeli attacks on Sunday.

United Nations experts and the main rights groups have accused Israel to carry out a genocide against the Palestinians.

The Gaza Government Media Office accused Israel on Monday of imposing a policy of “systemic starvation” against the Palestinians and rejected plans for Israel to control the distribution of humanitarian assistance: a current task and United United.

“We notice against the plan that the Israeli occupation is trying to pursue establishing or using security companies and suspicious parts to distribute humanitarian aid,” the office said.

He added that the plan aims to advance in the “colonial agenda” of Israel under the appearance of humanitarian aid.

Last year, the International Criminal Court issued a sentence order for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on alleged war crimes in Gaza, including the use of hunger as a weapon of war.
