Telangana Act for gig and platform workers on May 1

Good news for approximately 4 Lakh concert and platform workers in Telangana. The state government has decided to introduce an exclusive act for the well -being of the concerts and workers of the platform on May 1, the International Workers Day.

Prime Minister Revanth Reddy asked officials to ask for a public opinion on the bill and incorporate the suggestions and comments of various interested parties before April 25.

The prime minister made the decision after meeting with representatives of concert workers and unions representatives.

The State Labor Department has already prepared the draft workers’ bill of the Telangana platform to provide social assistance, labor security, insurance facilities and other rights for workers. Duration The meeting, the officials informed the prime minister on the provisions of the bill.

The prime minister said the government presented an accident insurance coverage (₹ 5 LAKH) for concert and platform workers shortly after assuming power in December 2023.
