The second WPPS CEO (Wheat Products Promotion Society) Conclave with the theme “Wheat and wheat products: collaboration for sustainable growth and market leadership” in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, of April 24-25. It is expected that around 400 industry leaders, international delegates and policy formulators participate in the conclave.
WPPS is an industrial association dedicated to promoting growth, sustainability and innovation in the wheat and wheat products sector. It serves as a platform for the mills, bakers, pasta manufacturers, food processors, technology suppliers, policy formulators and global experts to get involved in advances, challenges and market opportunities in the wheat value chain.
Around the two -day course, the conclave will have thematic sessions that cover a broad spectrum of issues. These include strengthening wheat supply chains for sustainable growth; Advance in grinding, processing and product innovation; IA E IoT lever in wheat and baking technologies; Improve global trade, market intelligence and export potential; Show the leadership and entrepreneurship of women in the wheat ecosystem.
Special sessions
The event will open on April 24 with an inaugural session with speakers such as Sunil Agrawal, president of the Madhya Pradesh Roller Flour Mills association; Ajay Goyal, President, WPPS; Dean Dias, CEO, Canada Cereals (Virtual); John Southwell, senior commissioner of trade and investments, Austrade, Australian government; Avinash Chandani, partner, Deloitte India; Ramesh Chand, Member, Niti Aayog; And Subrata Gupta, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
The special sessions will explore the climate resistant wheat varieties, the multitude of digital grains for Smallholers, sustainability in food processing and intelligent milling systems. A dedicated session of ‘Women in Wheat’ will be chaired by Sridevi Annapurna Singh, director, CSIR-Cftri, and will feature women prominent leaders of agriculture, research and industry.
A media statement said that the conclave will highlight the fixed potential of Madhya Pradesh in value -added wheat products, food innovation and global trade.
