However, Laffitte’s sentence was exaggerated in November 2024 when an appeal court determined that the elimination of two jurors was abused and violated the rights of the fifth amendment of Laffitte.

Laffitte was fired from the bank shortly after the accusations came to light that she helped Murdough’s lawyer and Murdough, friend and fourth partner of the university, Cory Fleming, stole a legal client called Hakeem L. A judge ordered Murdough and Fleming to pay millions to an insurance company in January 2025 after they conspired to steal around $ 4 million in insurance funds from the family of their home after their death.

Murdough’s housewife, Gloria Satterfield, apparently stumbled and fell into the front steps of Murdoughs’s house on her South Carolina hunting farm“ Moselle, and died later in a hospital.

A jury from Colleton County He found the dishonored lawyer guilty of shooting Maggie and Paul near dog dogs on the family’s hunting farm in June of that year. Prosecutors say he was trying to create a distraction of their growing financial crimes, which began to come to light at that time.
