Colorado will retire Shedeur Sanders’ No. 2, Travis Hunter’s No. 12

Sheur Sanders and Travis Hunter left large footprints in just two seasons on the field in Colorado.

For this, their number will be withdrawn on Saturday during the spring competition as part of the festivities of the afternoon. Sanders

The dynamic tandem agrees with the company of Quarterback/Halfack Byron White, (no. 24), guard/Linebacker Joe Romig (no. 67), Quarterback/tailback Bobby Anderson (no. 11) and the late tailback Rashaan Salam (no. 19).

Hunter, who played both a broad recipient and cornerback, comes from a Heisman Trophy campaign. Sanders broke many of the passing records of the program when leading the Colorado attack. Both are expected on April 24 High selections on the NFL design.

They all arrived in Colorado from Jackson State and were helpful in helping coach Deion Sanders to restore the shine to an oppressed Buffaloes program. After going 4-8 in the first season under Sanders-A season that celebrated celebrities to the sidelines and many national exposure colorado ended with 9-4 last season and went to the Alamo Bowl.

Hunter finished his Colorado career with 153 catches for 1,979 Yards and 20 TDs (he also had a hasty score). In the defense, Hunter finished with seven interceptions, made 16 pass -Break -Ups and forced a mess. All this with opposing violations that shoot away from the field.

He rarely left the field, Eithher. Hunter played a total of 2,625 Snaps, which led the FBS in 2023 and ’24.

It was a Bountify Award season for Hunter. In addition to the Heisman, he took the Walter Camp Award, his second Straight Paul Hornung Award (most versatile player) and the Bednarik Award. He also took the Lott Impact Trophy home as a National Defensive Player of the Year and the Bilatnikoff Award as the best receiver.

Sheur Sanders left Sub Hardware of himself – the Johnny Unitas Award that is presented at the top QB of the University Football. He was named the 2024 BIG 12 offensive player of the year.

Sanders crushed more than 100 school signs while they were held in the middle of the buffalo, including the passing of touchdowns, passer -by rating and completion rates. Sanders threw Yards and 64 TDs with a completion of 71.8% in his career in Colorado.
