SCOOP: Newsom launches campaign to entice reluctant Canadians to visit California amid Trump tariff push

Exclusive: The liberal governor Gavin Newsom is making clear in a new campaign that Canadian tourists are welcome in the state of Gold, since it seeks to boost international trips after a strong decrease in American tourism caused by the rates of President Donald Trump.

“We understand it. The White House is not demanding exactly the welcome carpet, but the Canadians if California continues to welcome them and that we are still grateful for their association,” said an official of the Newsom Digital Administration on Monday.
