Satin Creditcare Network LTD (SCNL) said Tuesday that it has implemented the prescribed limit of the network of microfinance institutions (MFIN) in the number of microfinance lenders to three and aligned its internal policies and processes accordingly as of April 2025.

“MFIN, a self -regulating organism for the microfinance industry, had introduced more strict loan principles to limit the number of microfinance lenders that serve a single three -client since April 2025 (part of Buardrails 2.0).

“In view of the above, we want to inform you that CAP implemented in the number of microfinance lenders to three and we have aligned our internal policies and processes accordingly,” according to the NBFC-MFI regulatory presentation.

According to “Guardrails 2.0” of MFIN, which was presented in November 2024 to avoid survival or borrowers and promote response loans among microfinance lenders, the number of microfinance lenders to a microfinance client has been reduced to 3 of 4; and the total indebtedness or the pending amount of the loan of a microfinance customer is ₹ 2 Lakh (including microfinance loans and unmoltent retail loans).

In addition, the standard of the existing industry not lending to a NPA client [overdue for >90 days] With a pending amount or> ₹ 3000 has a tight leg for “without loans to a criminal client [overdue for >60 days] With a pending amount or> ₹ 3,000.

According to the “Buardarrails 2.0”, MFIN, which is an industrial association of banks, NBFC-MFL (non-bank financial microfinance institutions), SFBS (small financial banks) and NBFCs that provide microfinance credit and SBOOOOOOOSODED, the Board of its members, the lenders of its members narrowly review the interest rates to guarantee that the interests Efficiency are to customers.

In addition, apart from the processing rate and credit life insurance, no other positions of the amount of the sanctioned loan can be deduced.

In his “Guardraails 2.0,” MFIN said to give the lenders enough to implement the changes, the new standards will enter into force as of January 1, 2025.
