Democrats in the United States are demoralized and without direction

Almost six months after the driving of 2024, the Democrats seem to be reaching an agreement with what happened in the Hustings. Worse, despite all the gasp in what has bone since January 20, 2025, the party seems without lead and without directors in terms of simply putting resistance in the halls or congress or outside.

Forget former President Joe Biden for a second, former vice president and Democratic contender last November, Kamala Harris, is still thinking about his next course of political action. Will the governor’s career compute in 2026 or herself in the next 2028 presidential contest? At least those in the fray for the first place in California because they will know it soon.

It is difficult to be in the tasks because of the argument that the Democrats are still calculating why the game did so badly in November 2024 or why only after the first debate last June reached the party that concluded that Biden was in the ticket. Many writers and media experts have declared in the internal circle of Biden, including family members, they were in denial. Biden clearly was not “up to it”, even before the stage for the first debate in Atlanta on June 27, 2024, many are convinced.

As a posterior bone afterwards, the point that Biden returned to his word and entered the 2024 race after saying in 2020 that he was a transition president. Others wonder if Harris would have won the White House if he had more than 107 days to prepare for the confrontation.

With Biden Tanking in the surveys, Harris was asked in one of his rare interviews in October 2024 if he had done something different from his boss. His surprising answer: “… there is nothing that comes to mind.” This partly explains the 2024 debacle.

Out -of -place

It is equally difficult to understand the indignation of Democrats to events in Washington. On each issue, beginning with immigration, cut work, tariffs, Canada, Greenland, etc., President Donald Trump had clearly indicated what the procedure would be like. The only different thing is that the president has further adjusted his ideas to align with his base, the multitude of Make America Great Again (Maga) for the most part. If there is disbelief, it is because the Democrats did not expect to happen or not thought that November would achieve it.

Not long ago, the veteran Democratic strategist, James Carville, who has seen many elections, argued that the best that the Democrats would make it possible to let Trump and the company open the way and sink under their own weight instead of fighting in everything that is doing everything possible. In which it is coming in which in which it is coming at the height of which it faces the fight.

“Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is retire on the immediate battlefield and advance in another direction,” Carville wrote, emphasizing the need for Democrats to look for good candidates in 2026 as they did in 2018.

The Democrats would do well to listen carefully to what Carville has said. This is not the time to discuss a loss that was fine on the cards given the campaign styles. You will hardly care if Biden will say something different in your new book that is supposedly in process.

The conclusion of the Democrats is to come with a coherent message and an effective messenger for November 3, 2026 in the mid -quarter; Without resting in the story that the president’s party sitting in the Oval office loses.
