“In fact, the Trump administration has recognized that fact and, therefore, must comply with the Directive of the Supreme Court or the Supreme Court must enforce its order aggressively, which could include contempt.”
The Supreme Court acknowledges that Abrego García was subject to a 2019 retention order that prohibits his removal from El Salvador, and that the removal to El Salvador was “therefore illegal.” The court emphasized that the government must facilitate its release from custody in El Salvador and treat its case as if it never deported.
An immigration judge in 2019 found that Garcia had not refuted sufficiently evidence of affiliation of MS-13 and, therefore, was removable to any other place other than the Savior because or a threat of a rival gang, this is called retention.
The Trump administration has faced criticism of the Democrats, the leftist media and the defenders of human rights for sending Abrego García to their country of origin. Trump officials initially recognized that their elimination was due to the “administrative error.”

Van Hollen said he also wants to see the Trump administration with contempt.
“It is absolutely unfair and illegal to have this Maryman detained one more day in a noticeable prison in El Salvador,” said Van Hollen, from Wbal TV.
“I saw that families, lawyers have asked the administration’s lawyers to be despised, and I think it is an absolutely appropriate movement to take at this time. The nose courts will be absolutely disregard.”
