The armed wing of the Palestinian Group Hamas says that it has lost contact with a group that supports Israeli -us Edan Alexander in the Gaza Strip after “Direct Israeli Bombardment” attacked the area where he was detained.
“It seems that the Occupation Army is deliberately trying to kill him and, therefore, is relieved of the pressure caused by double citizen prisoners to continue his genocide against Orake Outy, Saidaan for Qassam.
On Saturday, Hamas had released a video that showed Alexander-a New Jersey and a 21-year-old soldier in the Israeli army.
Alexander seemed to be under coercion in the video and appealed to the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to get him out of Gaza and urged the president of the United States not to believe “lies” to Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In his last statement, Abu Obrabora did not say where Alexander was held in Gaza. The group’s armed wing later released a video that warns the families of the captives that “their children will return in black coffins with their bodies shattered from the shrapnel of their army.”
Hani Mahmoud of Al Jazeera, who reports from the city of Gaza, said that the Palestinians throughout the enclave believe that the United States “has an interest” in ensuring Alexander’s release in a negotiated agreement.
“They believe that this will increase the pressure on the Israeli government to accelerate the process and reach an agreement,” Mahmoud said. “If it is confirmed that Alexander has killed Bone, then the Palestinian groups will lose what they expected to be a liver of pressure to the Netanyahu government so that he signs a high fire agreement.”
Hamas has previously blamed Israel for the death of the captives held in Gaza, even as a direct result of the bombing, while recognizing on at least one occasion that a guard killed a captive. He said the guard had acted against the instructions.
Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, told reporters in the White House in March to ensure Alexander’s liberation, believing that he is the last hostage of the United States held by Hamas in Gaza, it was a “priority for us.”
Alexander’s potential release was at the center of the previous talks between the leaders of Hamas and the American negotiator Adam Boehler last month.
Humanitarian situation in his ‘sausage’
The announcement occurs when Netanyahu said that Israel would continue with his military offensive in Gaza to ensure the release of captives and praised the troops a visit to the devastated north of the territory.
“They are hitting the enemy and Hamas will continue to suffer a blow after a blow. We insist that they release our hostages, and we insist on achieving all our war goals,” Netanyahu told the soldiers in Gaza, according to a statement from his office.
In a telephone call with Netanyahu, the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, said he told the Israel leader that the suffering of people in Gaza “must end”, and that only a high fire could fire that the Israeli captives and traninals.
Hamas launched 38 captives under the last truce agreement that began on January 19. In mid -March, Israel’s army resumed his terrain and aerial offensive in Gaza, left CEASPOSING a total blockade of Gaza.
Hamas denounced the current blockade, saying that Israel has been avoiding the entry of “all the essential articles necessary for life, including food supplies, medicine and fuel.”
The United Nations have also warned that Gaza’s humanitarian crisis is out of control.
“The humanitarian situation is probably the worst that has been in the 18 months elapsed since the outbreak of hostilities,” said the UN office for the coordination of humanitarian affairs (Ocha).
Israeli forces continued to bombard areas through Gaza on Tuesday, killing at least 21 people, according to Gaza’s civil defense.
Since the assault of Israel began in October 2023, more than 51,000 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, according to the Ministry of Health of Gaza.
Israeli officials say that the offensive will continue until the 59 captives are released and until Hamas is demilitarized. Hamas insists that he will free the hostages only as part of an agreement to end the war permanently, and has repeatedly rejected the demands of leaving his arms.
Israel issued a truce proposal to Egyptian mediators and Qatari on Monday, offering a high temporal fire of 45 days in exchange for disarming and releasing 11 Israeli captives who still remain in Gaza.
Hamas said in a statement that he was “studying” the proposal, but the senior official of Hamas, Sami Abu Zuhri, told Al Jazeera before the publication of the official statement that Hamas would not accept any demand to disarm.
