MS Dhoni-backed drone start-up Garuda Aerospace raises ₹100 crore in Series B Funding

Garuda Aerospace, the chennai -based drone company, has collected ₹ 100 million rupees in a Round of Financing of Catalysts de Venture (VCAT), at an assessment of $ 250 million. Crickt Mahendra Singh Dhoni player had previously invested in the company and is also the brand’s ambassador.

The new funds will improve the company’s capabilities in the production of drone systems. The funds will also be assigned to expand their current production installation and accelerate the completion of an R&D center and tests for the advanced defense drones design.

This development not only strengthens Garuda Aerospace position in the Indian aerospace ecosystem, but also aligns it with the largest nations vision of achieving self -sufficiency in the manufacture of high -tech defense, according to the statement.

Agishwar Jayaprakash, founder and CEO of Garuda Aospace, said that financing not only strengthens its ability to climb manufacturing and innovation, but also positions the company to accelerate the development of next -generation drones technology.

Dr. Supporta Ranjan Sharma, co -founder and managing director of VCAT, said that Garuda’s role in strengthening the Indian defense manufacturing ecosystem of India, while creating a global footprint, was exciting.

The seven -year -old company has more than 400 drones and 500 pilots operating in 84 cities. Manufactures 30 types of drones and sacrifices 50 types of services.
