The Hawks will host Eithher Chicago or Miami on Friday to decide the number 8 seed in the Eastern Conference and that no. 1 Cleveland plays in round 1 of the Play -offs. The Bulls and Heat play an elimination game in Chicago on Wednesday.
“I am not going to frustrate the referees in our next game,” Young said. “I know we have to win or go home, and I’m going to be ready.”
Orlando, with the victory, earned the number 7 seed and a round 1 matchup with no. 2 Seed Boston, the defensive NBA champion.
“The importance of him who keeps his cool, I have already tackled that with our team,” said Hawks coach Quin Snyder. “He is quick to possess that. But the game was out of hand at the time.”
Young led all scorers with 28 points.
