First in Fox: The vice mayor of a city in Florida that houses one of the largest population in the country of Venezuelan migrants is supporting an agreement that will allow the City Police to cooperate with the agenity of immigration and compliance with customs of the United States.
“Support this agreement because I think it is essential to strengthen the capacity of our police department to carry out its effective and responsible duties,” said Doral, Florida, Vicealcalde Maureen Porras to Fox News Digital. “As we move forward with this, we ensure that the city of Doraal remains in full compliance with state and federal mandates, an important step to maintain public confidence and maintain the rule of law.”
The comments occur as doral, a key Florida center for Venezuelan immigrants, a possible ICE agreement will vote on Wednesday that would allow the city police to carry out immigration application operations.

The members of the City Council will vote on Wednesday on whether INK a program of the 287 (G) program with ICE, which would allow Doral Police officers to help ICE with dentes, question and process people suspended to break federal immigration laws.

That effort received an impulse from the Florida government. Ron Desantis, who has encouraged local cooperation with federal immigration authorities through a law that requires local agencies in charge of prisons to register in 287 (g) programs.
However, Doral’s participation in the program could be seen as a seemingly surprising turn, and the city is home to one of the greatest proportions of Venezuelan immigrants in the United States, which causes concerns about the local population.

Councilor Doraral Digna Cabral recognized the Conerns, Count Fox News Digital that expects Doral Police Chief Edwin López, to provide greater exposure on the detailed details of the Wednesday procession of the program, pointing out that the immigration application.
“I think it is important to address this matter with care, clarity and full transparency,” Cabral told Fox News Digital. “At this stage, I have no tasks of a final position, and I will wait for the presentation and complete discussion at the Council meeting before making more statements.”
Pronras also recognized those concerns, but argued that the agreement “is not designed to discriminate against anyone” and that it does not “support its use for that purge.”
