Harvey Weinstein requests hospital stay during sexual assault retrial due to poor health

Harvey Weinstein’s team emphasized the stress of his new judgment of sexual aggression could lead to the death of day two or the jury selection.

His team asked the dishonorated entertainment magnate to be allowed to spend his nights at the hospital instead of Rikers Island during the entire new trial. Weinstein had previously guided for his new judgment to move due to his health conditions, but Judge Farber did not allow it.

“I am asking you and I beg you to change,” Weinstein told the judge in a rare direct direction before the court in January. “I can’t endure anymore. I’m enduring because justice for me.”

Weinstein told Farber that it was the “wrong pills” earlier that morning, but “caught” the error in the “appropriate moment.”

“I am committed to moving your appointment, so that we can process as quickly as possible, so that I can get out of this hell,” he said. “There are so many people who suffer on Rikers island. They don’t have the same spokesman. It is a medieval situation. This is something that must be stopped.”

However, the trial begged as planned on April 15 with the jury selection.

Weinstein was urgently taken to the Bellevue Hospital in December after receiving an “alarming blood analysis.” At that time, his representative confirmed that the former film producer had diagnosed leukemia.

“Mr. Weinstein, who suffers from a series of diseases, including leukemia, has been deprived of medical care that someone in his medical state deserves, prisoner or not. In many ways, this abuse constitutes a cruel and unusual punishment,” Juda Engelmayer told Fox News Digital in a statement.

Weinstein team He has been firm about his health in recent months, claiming that “basically he does not receive treatment” because of his various medical problems.

“All I can tell you is not to receive the treatment it deserves,” said Weinstein’s lawyer, Arthur Aidala, after a judicial hearing in July. “Hey, you need some relief. We are very sure of the result of this trial … they will acquire it. There is a lot of light at the end of the tunnel for Mr. Weinstein.”
