US envoy says fighting in Gaza would ‘end immediately’ if captives released | Gaza News

Adam Boehler tells Al Jazeera ‘Nothing Goes Foring’ in the high fire agreement until the launch, while the assault of Israel continues.

Washington, DC – Israeli attacks against Gaza will end if Hamas releases all the recurring captives, said the best envoy of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, in an interview with Al Jazeera.

“I can tell him that the fight would end immediately, immediately if they are released to hostages,” said Adam Boehler, a special envoy of the United States for the hostage response. “The day those hostages are released, the fight will end.”

Boehler’s comments on Wednesday occurred when the number of the dead of the Israel offensive in Gaza reached 51,025, with at least 1,652 Palestinians killed since Israel’s attacks resumed after a previous CEASCH.

Despite Israel in the enclave in the enclave, Boehler said the ball was on the Hamas court.

“They can communicate at any time,” he said from the White House grass. “Hamas can end this.”

Boehler added that Trump has been clear that “nothing advances until all hostages are thrown.”

“The first step is all hostages launched,” Boehler said. “Step two is, let’s discover this day later.”

He did not elaborate what that “day later” would be, only briefly referring to Trump’s suggestion to displace the Palestinians of Gaza to neighboring countries.

Hamas has said that it will only release more captive if a new agreement is first reached to end the fighting. Such agreement would need to include guarantees that so far have proven that they have not tried those who have not proven, including a complete withdrawal of the Israeli forces of Gaza.

According to the previous six -week Cacefire agreement, Hamas released a total of 33 captives in Gaza in exchange for an increase in humanitarian aid in the enclave and the liberation of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

A second phase, according to, in principle, was destined to see the release of all the recurring captives held in Gaza in exchange for a permanent purpose for the fight. A third phase was intended to see the release of all the bodies of the captives and the implementation of a reconstruction plan.

But the negotiations broke after the end of the first phase of the agreement, with Israel immediately renewing the attacks. Beyond those killed, the United Nations said at least 500,000 Palestinians have been newly displaced in the last combat round.

Earlier this week, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the military had completed the creation of a “security zone” between the cities of the south of Rafah and Khan Younis. He added that the Israeli army “vigorously” would expand its operation in Gaza.

Israel has estimated that 24 living captives remain in Gaza, all that are believed to be male soldiers. It is also believed that the bodies of another 35 captives are still in the Palestinian enclave.

Edan Alexander

Boehler, who had direct conversations with Hamas officials in March, spoke with Al Jazeera after Hamas rejected a new proposal of high Israeli fire that requested that the group be completely disarmed the previous day.

Hamas also said Tuesday that he had contact with the group that had the captive American Israeli Edan Alexander after “directly Israeli bombing” attacked the area where he was detained.

Boehler dismissed the claim, saying that he was sure that Alexander was in a safe place and that Hamas would be “stupid” to damage him.

If something happened to Alexander, “it won’t be beautiful,” he added, without explaining.
