A Tata Sons PVT unit has signed a loan of £ 750 million ($ 990.79 million), to build what could be the largest battery installation in Great Britain, according to people’s family with the matter.

Around 15 banks have signed the two -year bridge loan agreement this month for Agraty Storage Solutions PVT, people said, they asked not to be identified because the matter is private. The agreement is among the three larger currency loans for an Indian company this year.

The two -year loan has set a distribution on the average Sterling Donnight index, or Sonia, and the agreement has been signed, but the disbursement is on an ONO, the people said.

The loan occurs when global financial markets are in the midst of tariff walks. Loans with foreign currencies by Indian borrowers have increased 23 percent to $ 6.6 billion years to date compared to the same period last year, according to the data compiled by Bloomberg.

A agricultural representative was not immediately available to comment.

Agratas, a total property subsidiary of Tata Sons PVT, develops battery cells with factories in India and the United Kingdom. The factory will be the largest in the United Kingdom and the early 2030 will contribute almost half of the application for projected capacity for the country’s automotive sector, the company said in a statement last year.
