Frontier Airlines flight loses wheel while landing in Puerto Rico: passenger

A Passenger from Frontier Airlines reported how one of the wheels of the plane broke on Tuesday a terrifying landing in Puerto Rico.

Melani González Wharton wrote on Facebook that his family’s flight from Florida to Puerto Rico became a “horrible experience” when the plane tried to land at the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport.

“For a few minutes I thought it was the end of our history here on Earth,” Wharton wrote on Facebook.

Wharton described that order took place through his window on the flight.

No injuries were reported after the hard landing at the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in Puerto Rico. (Istock)

“We were landing and the landing was very bad, aggressive and high speed, this caused that one of the tires at the front of the plane broke and fire,” he wrote.

Frontier Flight 5306 was reaching a landing with 228 passengers when the Airbus A321 experienced a “mechanical problem” that resulted in one of the wheels on its landing train to break, the new Puerto Rican role on the new day reported.

Flight researcher Luis Iizarry told Wapa-TV of Puerto Rico that it seemed that the co-pilot of the flight, which is young, was in command at the time of the incident before the captain of the quick mind tok to land safely.

Wharton wrote on Facebook that “the reality is that we were flying in the hands of the inexperienced,” referring to the young Copolid.

No injuries were reported immediately.
