Tamil Nadu’s cabinet approved Tamil Nadu’s industrial policy on Thursday to position the State as a center for spatial innovation, high value manufacturing and job creation promoted by technology.

In July 2024, the state government published the draft industrial policy of the Tamil Nadu 2024 space. However, many changes in politics have been made and incorporated into the spatial policy of Tamil Nadu, Fuentes said.

Tamil Nadu’s space policy is based on three investments that attract pillars of ₹ 10000 million rupees in the space sector of Tamil Nadu, creating at least 10000 high -value jobs in the sector for talented young people, and building a workforce ready for the future in the space force newspapers after the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister MK Stalin. Politics is a great boost for Spacetech companies that invest in TN, Rajaa added.

Politics is not only for manufacturing, but will also focus on space technology services and downstream innovation. This will open doors for new companies, MSME and big players equally.

Special incentive packages will be created for small start and large companies that are installed in the next space bays, dedicated industrial areas adapted for the space industry, he said.

The sources said that the policy will be applicable to both the service and manufacturing sectors, and would sacrifice the capital subsidy of up to 20 percent.

The policy assumes an importance with which TN is the home of many new space technology companies and the construction of the Kulasekarapattinam Space Puerto in the Thothukudi district.

In the 2025-26 budget of Tamil Nadu, Finance Minister ThanGam Thenarasu announced a ‘Space Technology Fund’ with an allocation of ₹ 10 million rupees to encourage new space technology companies. In addition, a foundation and prototype development laboratory for satellite tests, spatial grade rating tests, incubations and skills development facilities would be established in Chennai.
