PJ Haggerty was the third top scorer last season in the basketball of Men’s College in a second year breakout for the Memphis Tigers. Haggerty on average 21.7 points per match by splashing shots of all three levels and consistently reaching the free saucepin. Only Villanova’s Eric Dixon and Trenton McLaughlin in North Arara had on average more points during the 2024-2025 season, and both were not chosen for next year.
Haggerty is the latest shocking addition to the transfer portal and carries its name on Thursday afternoon in just prior to the Deadline of 22 April. I am immediately one of the best available players in the portal, and he is perhaps the best name on the list in terms of players with several years of being eligible.
This is a devastating blow to Memphis head coach Penny Hardway, who comes from his best season so far at 29-6 in general, but still won a match in the NCAA tournament 2025. There will be a long list of suits for a player with this type of production. He went to the transfer portal with a tag “not contact”, which means that he could already choose his next destination.

We have arranged Haggerty at number 9 on our list of the 50 best players who enter Marnss. The eight players who stand above him are all Eithher back to their original school or entering the NBA design of 2025.
The NBA is not much interested in Haggerty Scholauses a bit small for a scoring guard (6’3, 191 strength) and does not have much athletic explosion – I ended the season without Dunks. Yet this is precisely the type of guard that great university teams need in March as an ingredient in instant divisions that can create from the dribble.
Haggerty was an absolute works for Memphis in the past year and finished no. 9 in total minute played in Di while ranking no. 2 in both free throws and free throw attempts. He is not a three -point shooter with a high volume and only tries three shots from deep per game, but he is still an efficient scorer because of his ability to reach the error line. His 58.3 Perent-ware shooting was Boven-Aege and is even more impressive when mixed with its 20 percent assistant rate and 28 percent usage percentage.
Haggerty is probably in the money in the portal. Name a lecture team that needs a starting guard: Haggerty must be a top option. North Carolina figures for a serious freer for Haggerty. St. John’s still needs a guard, because it focuses on former first -year student Ian Jackson. Will a school like Alabama or Kentucky try to get into the mix? A school like Indiana could Real Use it on the defense half to compete in the Big ten.
Haggerty could be a pre -lighting, first players with this level of production, experience and two years of remaining elegility are not common. Memphis’ The Will are the win of a blueblood probably.
