Delhi Airport issues passenger advisory on Good Friday—Here’s what travellers should know

Passenger Advice News from Delhi airport: Indira Gandhi International Airport, commonly known as Delhi Airport, issued a passenger notice on the morning of Good Friday, April 18, warning passengers of possible delays in the operations of the airlines. Airport authorities cited a “changing wind pattern” around Delhi airport behind possible delays.

Here is everything to know about the airport notice, issued at 9:26 am on April 18:

Air traffic flow management measures for arrivals

The airport traffic control authorities (ATC) will implement certain air traffic flow management measures for flight arrivals from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm

This step aims to guarantee operational safety “According to international and regulatory protocols, maintaining the safety of passengers as the highest priority,” Delhi airport published on the Microbes site X (previously Twitter).

Operations through terminals, three tracks that work normally: Delhi Airport

IGI airport said all other operations in its terminals and three continuous tracks to function normally.

What to do if you are flying to and from Delhi airport on Good Friday (April 18)

The airport authorities advised passengers to stay connected with their respect for the airlines that receive the latest updates on their flight schedules.

“We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused and appreciate its understanding,” added Delhi airport.

Earlier this month, the Indigo private sector airline issued a similar notice for its clients that cite the maintenance of the track, warning them about possible delays or programming or their flights.

On Tuesday, Indigo and Akasa Air moved their flight operations to terminal 1 from terminal 2, which was temporarily closed by maintenance. Later, an official confirmed the return to normal operations. Read more
