The CEO of Babylon Bee, Seth Dillon, praised the liberal comedian Bill Maher for his meeting with President Donald Trump last month and said he did not see him in the same deer of the attempt of the Democratic governor Gavin Newsom to reach Arross the hall with his new podcast.
Dillon said he believed that the host of “real time” faced the “reality” that the attacks on the left against Trump had helped the Democrats.
“Maher is looking at the reality of the situation in which the left and right are at war with each other. They are so trapped in their respective positions and are not willing to move and not willing to join and real have said conversations.”
“Vilify Trump and simply throw bombs at the distance is not helping the Democrats. The Democrats ended up losing these elections when they were quite sure they would win it,” he continued.

Dillon, who directs the Christian site of the conservative satire, the Babylon bee, defended the liberal comedian in the middle of the reaction.
“For your credit, I think it is advisable to say, instead of always being in the other’s throat, we have a real conversation,” Dillon said. “Humanize this person who is so demonized. Let’s talk to him and see if there maybe there is a place where we can find common land. I don’t know how you can criticize someone.
Maher is not the only one to the left who recently attracted negative attention for meeting with prominent figures on the right.

Dillon believes that people on both sides of the political hall would benefit from leaving their bubbles more frequently to commit to the other side. But he is that Newsom is really sincere in his attempt to find common land.
“I judge it differently to judging Bill Maher,” Dillon said. “Bill Maher is not a politician. He is not running for a position.”
Although it emphasizes that it does not know what the personal motivations of Maher or Newsom are, Dillon believes that Newsom’s podcast is more a “calculated” movement destined to reinforce his political ambitions.
“I think Newsom is trying to position himself through the hall, being willing to speak. For him, I think it is a lot about the optics that something authentic in his desire to understand on the other side,” he added.

“I think that some of the criticisms that people on the right have Godes for ‘platforms’ certain voices is that they have not only spoken … but did not return things when they said scandalous or reckless things.
“It is interpreted as an attempt to close the speech when there is an answer like that,” he said. “But what they are doing is simply criticizing the judgments and elections of the person who has that platform. They are not asking for censorship and saying that person has no right to speak.”
