2025 NBA Awards: Why Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the MVP over Nikola Jokic

Although the NBA Awards still have to be officially announced, you have submitted Chris Broussard from FOX Sports his mood and shared them on ‘First Things First’.

Sub of his choices, he said, were nip-and-tuck. I have “birth” on the defensive player of the year and had another fifth ranked MVP than the fifth player in his all-NBA first team. But he was confidence in his most valuable player, Sixth Man of the Year and Rookie of the year.

This is what his selections looked like, and the reasoning behind them:

Broussard voted for Oklahoma City guardian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as his most valuable player about Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo because of his representatives a two-way star and led an inexperienced team to the most victories in the NBA.

“Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the youngest team in the NBA ever to 60-plus victories. In fact, they won 68, 18 more than Jokic and his schedule at championship level,” said Broussard. “Shai played the defense of all League on the level. So there is that. Third guard ever up to an average of 32 points per game and doing it at 50 percent.

He filled in the fourth and fifth places with Jays Tatum and Gift Cunningham.

The first four players in his MVP ranking each made his All-NBA first team, and he exchanged Cunningham for Anthony Edwards because he thought he had had a better individual season.

“I think (Edwards) is a better defense than gift. He is a bone 3-point shooter.”

Selecting Edwards for his first team meant that Cunningham and Donovan Mitchell were banned to the second team. He did not feel that Mitchell’s sacrifices, which were emphasized as a reason for the general success of the Cleveland Cavaliers, were just as important as others.

“There is a lot talking about:” He gave up shots to help the team. ” He gave up one shot per match, “said Broussard. “What happened was real, his shooting fell from 46 to 44. His assists went down … Steels went down.”

LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Karl-Anthony Towns completed the second team of Broussard.

“LeBron, Steph, screaming against them. At Age, to do this at this level of Eyir career, that’s phenomenal,” said Broussard.

Nick Wright, the host of First Things First, had Alps Sengun instead of cities on his second team because he thought he was far, the best player for a number 2 seed in the Houston Rockets. So, Wright asked Broussard or Sengun in front of him.

“I think Kat is just a better player,” Broussard went against. “It is clear that I have more scores, I have more rebounds, it is more efficient, 42 percent from 3.”

His third team included James Harden, Tyrese Haliburton, Jalen Brunson, Evan Mobley and Sengun.

Defensive player of the year: Evan Mobley

Evan Mobley was also the Dpoy of Bourusard and raised him scary above Atlanta Hawks’ guard Dyson Daniels.

“(Mobley) can guard the 3, he can protect the edge, he can do all the places in between,” said Bourusard. “He is great and he is anchor of one of the best defenses in the competition.”

Broussard placed Drayond Green Third for DPOY and finally selected Daniels as his most improved player.

“Dyson Daniels is only the 11th time in the NBA history that a player steals at least three on average,” said Broussard.

The best of the rest

Broussard submitted Cavaliers’ head coach Kenny Atkinson as his coach of the year. Atkinson took Cleveland from a 48-win team to 64, and a “Legitiem Kampen Championship” in just his first year at the helm.

Broussard Koos Malik Beasley as his sixth man of the year because

Eventually I chose Stephon Castle from San Antonio as his Rookie of the Year and Brunson as his coupling player of the year.
