FAA investigating after ‘green laser’ flashed at Black Hawk helicopter

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating after the crew of a Black Hawk Black Hawk helicopter from the Sikorsky UH-60 National Guard reported having been “illuminated” by a green laser about two miles from the North Dakota International Airport.

FAA officials said the incident occurred around 9 pm local time on Thursday.

No injuries were reported, according to the agency.

The Army confirmed to Fox News Digital that the plane was being operated by the National Guard.

FAA officials notified local authorities and investigate.

The incident produces just over a week after a tour helicopter crashed into the Hudson River in Jersey CityNew Jersey, April 10, killing six people – Including a pilot, two other adults and three children.

The FAA announced in March that it was permanently restricted the operations of helicopters not Esses around DCA, eliminating the helicopter and mixed traffic of fixed wing, and permanently closing certain helicopter routes such as national transportation of transport.
