The United States is ready to recognize Russian control over Crimea as part of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, CNN reported, citing an official family with the proposal framework.

The peace proposal includes the high fire between the two countries. The framework was shared with Ukrainian and European officials in Paris on Thursday.

A telephone call was also made about this proposal between the Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio, and Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, CNN reported, citing Fuentes.

However, there are some pieces that must still be completed, and the United States plans to work with Europe and Ukraine next week in London, the source said.

Russia attached Crimea in 2014 after a military invasion, a broadly condemned movement by the international community.

The Ukrainian president, Volodyymyr Zenskyy, has repeatedly refused to give up the territory to Russia.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump also pointed out that the United States could “take a pass” on his efforts to negotiate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine if any part makes negotiations too difficult, CNN reported. “If, for some reason, one of the two parts makes it very difficult, we will say:” You are silly, you are silly. You are horrible people, “And we are going to take a pass,” Trump said.

Despite the warning, Trump expressed his cautious optimism about ensuring an agreement, CNN reported. “I think we have a very good opportunity to do it. He is reaching a critical point at this time,” he added.

Trump’s comments occurred after a statement by the Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio, who suggested to abandon peace efforts in Ukraine in “days.”

Speaking in Paris after high -level conversations with European, Ukrainian and Russian officials, Rubio emphasized the urgency of determining that the war cannot be.

“We need to determine very quickly now, and I am talking about a matter of days, whether this is feasible or not,” he told reporters before leaving Paris.
