In a notable step towards the connection of the most isolated parts of the country, the Indian army has introduced mobile connectivity to some of the most remote areas and Ladakh, including the east and western Ladakh, and the challenging SIATEN.
An impulse for troops and morals
For the first time, the soldiers parked on some of the hard lands of the world, such as BOD, Galwan, Dechok, Chumar, Battalik, Dra, and the Glacier de Siachen – Noow have access to 4G and 5G networks. This has changed the game for those that serve in isolated positions, or cut in the hard winter months at altitudes of more than 18,000 feet. The ability to keep in touch with their families and loved ones has been a great moral reinforcement for these soldiers.
What makes this achievement even more impression is the collaboration effort between the Indian army, telecommunications service providers (TSP) and the UT Administration of Ladakh. Thanks to the robust fiber optic cable network that the army has established, the mobile towers have been installed in the army infrastructure, including the key towers in the districts of Ladakh and Kargil. The body of fire and fury played a crucial role in making all this happen.
Transforming the socioeconomic landscape of border villages
However, the benefits do not end only with the well -being of the troops. The initiative is now raising the border villages of the region’s Farway, connecting them with the National Digital Network for Varosas Advantages such as:
- Availability of services through the digital division.
- Strengthen local economies
- Foster tourism at the border
- Improve emergency services and medical care
- Eliminate barriers to education
- Support local trade
- Cultural Heritage Preservation
- Cross -border migration of border villages
A particularly proud moment came with the installation of a 5G tower in the Siachen glacier, the highest battlefield in the world, which shows the technological force of India.
The people from these remote areas have received this initiative with sincere appreciation. What was previously called a luxury service, mobile connectivity, has now become a lifeguard for all, opening opportunities, creating people as one and providing dignity to all.
This effort of the Indian army is mainly for the convenience of troops. He is also witnessing the way India has been embedded in his commitment to national development and integration, resonating with the dreams of a Viksit Bharat.
