250 years have passed since Paul Revere Red until night, and now, the Trump administration is at the top in history.
On Friday, the White House issued a presidential statement that commemorates Revere’s trip, calling the silversmith a patriot whose “act of bold challenge launched a war of independence that changed the course of history.”
The White House also published a tribute video entitled “The trip that a nation awakened”, offering a film count of the 1775 event.
Meanwhile, in Boston, Massachusetts, where it all started, the anniversary was marked on Friday with a recreation of the historical journey of Revere.

The Mission of Revere turned late on the night of April 18, 1775, when two flashlights lit in the old Church of Northern Boston pointed out that the British troops were crossing the Charles river by sea.
Revere set up a horse and red from Borredwed in the country to alert colonial militias and warn patriotic leaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock in Lexington. Althegh arrested him for the British patrols before arriving in Concord, his message had already been transmitted by his fellow riders William Dawes and Dr. Samuel Prescott.

Thanks to their warning, the forces of the militia were ready when the first shots of the American revolution are classified the next morning in Lexington Green.
The presidential statement highlighted these facts by paying tribute to Revere as “a artisan teacher, a husband, a father and a proud son of freedom.”
He also cited the famous 1860 poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “Paul Revere’s Ride”, which turned the midnight trip into a national legend. While the real trip was part of a greater effort that involved multiple messengers, Longfellow’s Fresh, “a cry of challenge, and not fear,” helped consecrate the name of Revere in American memory, where he remains until today.

The video released by Trump’s team stressed that legacy with dramatic narration, archive images and references to key sites such as Old North Church and North Bridge in Concord.
“On the night of the night, a silversmith became a signal. A signal became a movement. And that movement became America,” says the voice in OFF, in the first of many planned patriotic events as part of the initiative “Salute to America 250” of the administration.
This effort, launched before the 250th anniversary of the declaration of independence in 2026, includes federal, state and local coordinated commemorations aimed at highlighting the important moments in the early history of the United States.
