Dana Perino answers questions about the new book: “I would like someone to have told me … the best advice to build a great career and a significant life.”
Why did you write the book?
When my mother finished reading “everything will be fine, – life lessons for young women of a former young man,” he calls me and said: “Wow, I would like someone to have told me all this.” He began working in the mid -1960s, when women were really entering the mass workforce. We were raided the way for many of us, and now we have many different ways that we can take in our careers. (Thank you, ladies! We appreciate everything you did for us).
I discovered that since I left the White House and began to advise the youngest people that the questions do not change so much, but the hunger of more tips and guidance continues to grow. So I decided to refresh my advice in a world after Covid and Pre-Ai, and gather the best advice of the most wonderful group of advisors and mentors that could build in a single book.

What is this book from your previous tutoring books?
“I hope some would have told me” it is an updated version of the council that I have gathered based on the experience, and includes interviews with approximately forty of my friends, loved ones and colleagues, including my husband, Peter McMahon, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Yrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, and, and,,,,, and, and,,, and,,,, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and. Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea, Andrea Star, Andrea Star, Andrea Star, Andrea Star, Andrea Star, Andrea Star, Andrea Star, Andrea Star, Andrea Star, Andrea. Like many or my Fox News clubs. They were very generous with their time, and their suggestions are excellent. There is so much wisdom in their answers to my questions, I opened my eyes to the success of the people around me every day. The chapters cover the questions about how to decide what you want to do in your career, proven and true ways of obtaining the promotions you want, administering the elusive balance between work and life and focusing on what really matters in your life before Talk’s Talk’s friend Talk, as a friend.
Who is this book for? When you think about your reader, who do you imagine?
While my last book was aimed at young people, this book has a much larger audience and is not specifically aimed at women. I included advice from a wide variety of people to be able to obtain as many perspectives as possible in the book. I think I will be a better mentor now that I have put in a unique window so rich.
Here is the one that I think would benefit from reading “I hope someone would have told me”:
– Ambitious young people trying to discover what they want to do and in which industry they want to enter
– Young enthusiasts of the race who are going to their first promotion and try to climb to the next step on the ladder
– Solidify its position in the workforce and achieve the next level of success in management, as an entrepreneur or on the executive track
– New parents trying to discover how to handle work and family responsibilities
– Anyone who feels exhausted and wondering about the change of racing
– Managers seeking new ways of giving guidance to their employees – to help train, encourage and recruit talent.
– Those who seek a greater meaning in their life beyond their career
Are there advice that he gathered in his interviews that helped him think about things in a different way?
I learned a lot. How to better manage disappointment and rejection; How to keep curiosity and be a person who continues to grow and how to laugh at circumstances instead of stucking them.
In particular, for example, I loved how Martha Maccallum said that when he was working on television and raising his three young children who did not think about more than three months ahead. That is an excellent and practical advice that works for anyone, only for those without children (but with a Percy!).
I think I will be a better mentor now that I have put in a unique window so rich that I can use my thought.

What is the best advice you have ever recovered?
That choosing to be loved is not a decision that limits the race. In 1997, when I with Peter on a plane (it happens, I swear!), I was quite worried about who happened to my career career if I moved to England to marry him, a type of eighteen years old my senior fornow A. I was too worried about what others would think about me, how they judged, if I sing to go for that. A family friend took away that Christmas and asked me what was happening with Peter and me. I explained my hesitation. And she said: “Do not give up this opportunity to be loved. It can be your only shot.” And boy was right. And making that decision turned out to be the best of my life. Twenty -eight years later, we are still together, and we pinch every day we approach so close to gathering that day. I almost missed that flight, and Peter almost has one previous. The fact that we were assigned to us next to the other was a gift from God that we can never pay. The best thing we can do is transmit this advice to all: choosing being loved helped my career possible. Without him, I would not have achieved what I have so far, and nothing I had done would have imported if I did if I did to share with me.

What do you want some have told you?
I would like someone to have told me that I had worried my twenty years, that, as an educated woman, I had already won the great lottery of life. The concern was a waste of time and my greatest hope is that readers take away some practical tips that can apply to their lives to make sure they are taking full advantage of their time on earth. It goes very fast, and I would buy the minutes of anyone if I could. As that is impossible, I am determined to make the most of the time I have here with all of you.
